UAlbany Homecoming 2025 brought alumni, students, families, and the local community together from Friday, Oct. 17, to Sunday, Oct. 19. The campus was full of energy as people reconnected, shared memories, and created new ones.
The weekend kicked off on Friday with alumni-organized events, including The Alumni House Party, which set a warm and festive tone. On Saturday, the Great Dane Pregame became a crowd favorite, featuring a photo booth, music from DJ Ras!, and spirited performances by the Marching and Spirit Bands. Tailgating filled the grass fields beside Tom & Mary Casey Stadium, adding to the excitement leading up to the game.
Saturday’s main athletic event saw UAlbany take on the University of Rhode Island Rams. Fans enjoyed standout moments — including a 46-yard touchdown pass and a rushing touchdown by Aidan Semo — but the Great Danes ultimately fell short in a tough matchup.
Reunions added a meaningful touch to the weekend, with highlights such as the EOP Reception at the Albany Airport Marriott on Wolf Road, where alumni gathered to reconnect and celebrate shared experiences.
Even without a win on the field, the spirit of Homecoming was unmistakable. Many attendees shared how good it felt to return to campus, see familiar faces, and celebrate their Great Dane pride. The weekend proved once again that UAlbany’s community spirit continues to grow stronger year after year.
